- Double consonants are written by repeating certain consonants.
- They make tense, stronger sounds.
Examples:

- ㅆ [ss]
- ㅉ [jj]
7.2 Double Consonant Sounds
- ㄲ (kk) — Strong ‘k’ sound, like in "spark"
- ㄸ (tt) — Strong ‘t’ sound, like in "stutter"
